Aboard 'The Slowest Express Train in the World', your journey begins with a climb towards the winter ski resort of Andermatt. From here the train climbs steadily upwards into the snow-capped mountains reaching the journey's highest point, before descending along the beautiful Rhone Valley. You'll experience the wonder of classic Swiss scenes as green meadows and dramatic turquoise river gorges pass by your window. You'll leave the Glacier Express in Brig and travel north to the town of Interlaken. You might choose to have lunch aboard the Glacier Express. Choose from a two-course menu or a three-course menu, on this atmospheric train. Once in Interlaken you'll stroll to your hotel for the night. Pick one of our specially chosen hotels, either 4* or 5*, on a B&B basis.

Experience the 'Top of Europe' on an excursion to the Jungfraujoch, Europe's highest train station, on the Jungfrau Railway. Your ticket gives you the option to ascend and descend by gondola from Grindelwald Terminal or by traditional cogwheel train. The journey rises gently through alpine meadows, passing the imposing north face of the Eiger. From Eiger Glacier you'll travel by cogwheel train through the final section of the route, into a tunnel which cuts through the Eiger. A stop halfway allows you to enjoy the scenery of tumbling glaciers through carved out viewing windows inside the tunnel. When you reach Jungfraujoch, the vistas from the Sphinx viewing platform are truly awe-inspiring. At the top, you'll overlook the stunning Aletsch Glacier, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage wonder.

Following this incredible experience, you'll return to your hotel for a second night in Interlaken.
